In this age of information, students are required to know how to do research. However, because teachers have a broader curriculum to teach, research skills are seldom taught. The summer is a perfect time to hone those skills -- before the next school year.

Knowing which references to choose and how to use it to locate needed information is an invaluable skill in the 21st Century. Students will explore and effectively navigate all types of atlases, almanacs, dictionaries, and more with engaging activities. Each activity encourages discussion and utilizes students’ critical thinking skills. Students will be given an atlas to take home.
21st Century Skills taught: critical thinking, problem-solving, oral and written communication, and global literacy.
